Sustainable Bioeconomy

Eco-innovation is key to the country’s competitiveness as it helps optimize its growth potential and provides solutions to challenges such as climate change, resource scarcity, and biodiversity decline.

At Latitud, we work collaboratively with other areas of the Foundation and LATU to provide scientifically-based quantification of the impacts and risks associated with production and consumption patterns. In this way, we promote the transition to a circular economy and a more sustainable society.

The use of life cycle approaches, particularly Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), is essential for assessing the sustainability of a production and consumption system and is a necessary complement to validate circular economy solutions.
